Danube Day in Budapest 2010

The aim of countries participating in the tradition of Danube Day is to draw attention to Europe’s biggest and most international river, natural and economical values of the Danube and roles of the communities living here.
The first Danube Day was held on the 29th of June 2004, on the 10th anniversary of the foundation of the International Commission for the Protection of the Danube River, ICPDR. Since then it has been held annually in the countries connected to the river.

MOME line has organised the Budapest event of Danube day, which was a gala night on the Danube on the 28th of June, 2010. The event welcomed 120 guests, high representatives of expert fields concerning development and rehabilitation of the river. Eight short presentations were given on the night about the most important topics from shipping, to township development to the Viza 2020 programme. That night we revealed the Our Danube project too.
