Interior designs for Bárka Theatre
momeline - 10/12/4
At the beginning of autumn Bárka Theatre entrusted us to find the best designers to renovate their hall. After the first consultations the interior design works had started with the assistance of Heonlab’s young architects (Tamás Bartha, Árpád Hunor György, Dávid Szabó).
According to the requirements of the client the architects had to create an atmosphere without direct reference to the theatre world lacking the theatre set-like elements, however the conception must have been in any kind of connetction with the name ’boat’. By the distribution of the interior and the position of the functions they tried to solve problems, like the interoperability of the entrance in case of greater crowds, the position of the cloackrooms in a smaller space, furthermore the hall has to provide enough space to the temporarly organized exhibitions. The remaining elements of the present interior are the small stage down on the lower level and the reading corner, there are going to be programmes for children too.
- On the Boat
- Behind the Scenes
- Content
First we presented three conceptions designed in three different themes as for the colours and the materials (’On the Boat’, ’Behind the Scenes’, ’Content’). With the management of the theatre, the employees and the actors also took part in the evaluation of the works. The winner was definitly the third one. We will show you the final designs as soon as it’s possible.
