MOME line – design works

In the year 2011 Budapest Design Meetup continues with it’s 12th event. We have introduced more than sixty designers, photographers, architects, video- and animation designers so the time has come to pass the microphone to the designers of the digital world. Friday at 7 p. m. the presenters of Digital Design Special will show us how internet services, webpages (like big news portals, creative agencies or startups) are designed and constructed.

In his presentation György Bakos shows one of the popular social picture-sharing service, Indafotó and it’s most important part, the picture-site. Indafotó is just about to be redesigned and Hipra tells us what causes and user needs oriented the work.

Formal, corporate webdesign for Ablon Group – how he solved the problem, how the design developed and how it got realized. He speaks about custom expectations and applies tools during the designing phase as well.

They made a website design for Unicum’s tender two years ago. The aim was to make the brand modern, overwrite the traditional old-fashioned image. They didn’t win the tender but however, a spectacular and modern website design has been made which they can still be proud of. In his presentation, Zoltán talks about the layout which adapts to the extent of the browser, the font inspired by Unicum’s bottle, the inspiring experimental 3D-elements and about how they carried the main message “Just positively” through the user interface.

Dragontape is a web app that lets you create mixtapes of your favorite online videos. Dragontape is a webapp for creating mixtapes of online videos. It is focused on giving an engaging user experience for people who want to have a good time watching videos on YouTube. Playlists are complicated to make, manage and share, and they fail to offer the viewing experience people expect. By introducing an intuitive UI where content is arranged visually on a timeline, we made the creation and sharing of personal collections of online videos (mixtapes) trivially easy even for users with very basic skills.
Playing a Dragontape mixtape offers a fullscreen, continuous steam of videos, free of distractions. Collaborative features let you set up a tape for your YouTube party and have your friends add their own favorite videos, like a jukebox.
