the budapest design meetup vol.4

The fourth meetup will be held in at a new location: this time KINO will host the event on Szent István krt. MOME line will invite young designers to present their projects in 8 minutes. The audience will have an opportunity to ask questions or debate the topics after each presentation. The January meetup will have a bonus presentation: as the closing speaker, József Fülöp will talk about the new master degrees offered by MOME.
The presenters:
Edit Szabó ceramics designer
about looking for experimental uses of ceramics, be the result a unique object or a standardized product. She also talks about designing and composing functional art objects into architectural spaces, especially about her invention, the diffuse acoustic ceramics.
Ádám Hatvani (sporaarchitects) architect
about their firm, sporaarchitects, founded in 2002, which consists of architects, designers as well as artists. Ádám talks about a controversial project, Budapest’s metro line 4, two stations of which they designed.
Juli Laczkó ecodesigner
about the background and preliminary experiments of the utoplast project, designing and producing laptop skins from recycled nylon bags.
Anna Fabricius photographer
about her project Used Data, where she examines the boundary between reality and fiction, creating personal stories, via analogue photography.
László Csáki animation
about his motivation, techniques and approach, and in particularly about Tincity, a documentary, which won best documentary at the Hungarian Film Festival.
